Who can apply?

Every product must be made or grown by you. No resale is allowed. We only accept applications from producers that live in Benton, Carroll, Madison & Washington counties. We are 100% local. If you don’t grow or make it in the four NWA counties, it cannot be sold at the Fayetteville Farmers’ Market.

What kind of products will you consider?

For the 2026 market we will review applications from these categories:

Craft

  • Baskets:  Original handcrafted work with a preference for local materials.
  • Fiber:  Hand woven crafts made from original designs (no kits)
  • Pottery
  • Sketch or paint artists
  • Other crafts:  Contact us before applying.

Food

  • Food trucks: The Fayetteville Farmers Market is only permitted by the city to have spots for two food trucks. We are accepting applications for alternates for dates our current approved vendors cannot attend.
  • Food booths: FFM has a very limited number of openings for locally produced foods. For 2026, we are not accepting applications for sourdough bakers. Specialty Products may be approved on a case by case basis. Products must be produced from raw ingredients. (No freeze dried candy, etc.) Food items that can be grown and produced by our local farmers will not be approved if you do not grow the product. (Examples: pickles, salsa, jams, jellies, tomato sauce, etc. as described in the Arkansas Homemade Food Production Guidelines) If you are a grower that produces value-added processed products, apply as a farm. If you are unsure if we are accepting applications for your product, contact us at fayettevillefarmersmarket@gmail.com for more information.

Food Vendors must produce food in accordance with rules by the Arkansas Department of Health, more information can be found in the Arkansas Farmers Market Vendor Guide.

Farm

  • Applications from experienced fruit and vegetable growers will be considered.
  • Applications from experienced Livestock producers who raise their animals on pasture will be considered. Livestock producers must have their meat processed at a USDA approved and inspected facility.
  • Growers who produce only cut flowers or microgreens will not be considered.

Personal Care:

  • Small-scale producers of high quality personal care products will be considered. Products made with local ingredients are encouraged.
  • Personal care producers must carry liability insurance for their product.

If your product is not listed above, please send an email describing your product to the market BEFORE APPLYING.  Your application fee will not be refunded if you apply with a product that cannot be sold at market

When will I find out if I am accepted?

Applications are open:  December 1st through February 1st.
The Board of Directors will review applications during February with the goal of informing applicants by March 1st.  The square market is usually open from mid-March through December.

What are the fees?

Completed applications are reviewed during monthly meetings of the RMPE Board of Directors.  The nonrefundable $25 application fee must be received before the application is considered. After the Board has reviewed your application, you will be notified of your status and if approved, you will receive further information about market rules, farm/workshop visit, etc.

Additional Fees: Approved vendors must pay $25 annual dues.
A commission payment is due for each day that the member sells at market (7.5% of pre-tax sales weekday and Saturdays, 10% for online sales and winter indoor market).   The market uses electronic bank withdrawal for commission payments.

What about attendance and selling spots?

To stay eligible for membership, each market vendor must attend at least 3 market days per calendar year.  Members choose the days they plan to attend.  Approved new RMPE first year members will be permitted to sell at the Fayetteville Farmers Market on the square at all weekday markets and Saturday when space is available. At the height of fruit and vegetable season, new members may not have a selling spot every Saturday.  New vendors are encouraged to attend weekday markets.  New approved members can choose to sell in the online year-round market.  After the member’s first year, a market point system is used for future placement.  Make sure to note on your application if you plan to sell regularly, seasonally, every other week, just on holidays, etc.
