Applications for vendor positions are now available for the 2013 market season. Divided into categories based on wares sold — crafts, food items, produce and farm wares — each application reflects the unique aspects of each of the Fayetteville Farmers Market participants. After reaching the #5 spot in the 2011 American Farmland Trust Favorite Farmers Market contest, the Fayetteville Farmers Market rallied the support of local fans and farmers alike to win the top award for the 2012 Favorite Large Farmers Market.

A ceremony on Saturday, Oct. 19 at the Fayetteville Square recognized the Market for the unprecedented accomplishment. A representative from the American Farmland Trust was present to give a commemorative plaque to honor “the integral role that the market plays in its community” and “the avid support of its customers.”

Award-winning markets spanned the country, from small markets in Washington to larger ones in Florida. Thanks to the more than 1,439 votes of passionate supporters. the Fayetteville Farmers Market is making national headlines for the good — and the green — it brings to the area.
