The Rural Mountain Producers Exchange Inc. presents several Farmers Markets in Northwest Arkansas, offering the finest in locally grown fruits, vegetables, flowers, plants, juried crafts and fine arts, eggs, meat, honey, jams, coffee, baked goods and a chance to meet  your farmers and neighbors.

The 2010 Fayetteville Farmers’ Market around the beautiful  downtown square, is now open SATURDAYS 7am –2pm, until Nov 20th and TUESDAYS and THURSDAYS from 7am – 1pm,  through October 28th.  This is an open-air market, and come rain or shine the vendors will be there with fresh picked fruits, vegetables, eggs, meats, herbs, plants, juried handmade crafts, fine arts and plenty of fresh flowers.  So, wake the kids, bring your favorite coffee mug, some cash, reusable shopping bags, a camera or musical instruments, and join in the fun.

New for 2010 is the Farmington Farmers’ Market at City Hall, 354 W. Main St. SATURDAYS 7am-1pm May through October. Fresh produce, coffee, pastries, fruits and more.

Everything at all markets MUST be grown or made by the vendors. While strolling through, you are able to visit with the local farmers and artisans and ask questions. There are lots of plants (herbs, house plants, aquatic plants, perennials and bedding plants) available with experts on hand offering advice. Vendors have lamb, pork, honey, and eggs available. Unique handmade items include Baskets, Pottery, Candles, Quilts, Jewelry, Watercolors, Woven Rugs, Yarn, Buttons, Birdhouses, Wood Carvings, Paintings, Photographs, Cards, Bamboo,  Furniture and Face Painting.
